The Palmer Course at The Woodlands Country Club
27 Holes. Three Short Courses.
Designer: Arnold Palmer
The Palmer Course at The Woodlands Country Club features 27 holes of undulating and mounded terrain, spread across three 9-hole tracks. Each course provides a balanced golf experience that’s a fun test of skill for golfers of all abilities.
Designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, the original 18 holes (King and General nines) opened in 1990, and the third nine (Deacon) opened for play in 1995. Every round at the Palmer offers Members something new, as they wind their way through tall Texas pines and natural Woodlands scenery.

An Arnold Palmer Golf Course
“A golf course must be built for all golfers and should be truly beautiful. There can be no gimmicks; every aspect of the course must serve the game of golf in the purest sense.” – Arnold Palmer
Arnold Palmer’s expertise extends well beyond his Hall of Fame golf career, with his impressive portfolio of award winning course designs. Palmer’s design career began in the 1960s, and took flight in 1971 when he joined forces with the late Ed Seay.
In the Heart of The Woodlands
Palmer’s design philosophy finds its home at The Woodlands Country Club, with the aim to create courses that challenge but don’t overwhelm. Palmer’s designs are flexible enough for serious competition, while providing a laid-back experience for golfers looking to unwind.
