DALLAS - Invited, The World Leader in Private Clubs, today announced the acquisition of Hartefeld National in Avondale, Pennsylvania, a private country club that features one of the Northeast’s most honored golf courses, a Tom Fazio-designed championship course that has served as the site of both a PGA TOUR and Senior PGA Tour event. The purchase of Hartefeld National marks the fifth acquisition in less than a year for Invited, which plans to spend more than $1 million in capital improvements to the club.

Named by Golfweek magazine as a top 10 course in Pennsylvania and previously ranked fourth in “America’s Top 50 Courses for Women” by Golf Digest for Women, the challenging Hartefeld National golf course features dramatic elevation changes, breathtaking vistas, majestic tree lines of oak, beech, holly, and pine, terraced tee boxes and sculptured greens. The course has earned a host of additional accolades and awards from publications and organizations including Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Golf Monthly, the Zagat Dining Survey, Delaware Today and the PGA.

Located in the scenic Brandywine Valley, Hartefeld National also features a spectacular fieldstone clubhouse with The Grille & Pub, one of the area’s favorite dining and special event destinations open to the public for brunch, lunch and dinner, ideal for cozy fireside dining in the winter, patio dining in the summer, fine dining for business or pleasure and casual meals. The clubhouse also includes a ballroom flowing out to a stone veranda offering breathtaking views of the golf course.

Members of the club will have the opportunity to sign up for Hartefeld National O.N.E. (Optimal Network Experiences) which offers 50% off à la carte dining at the club, complimentary golf and dining privileges when traveling to Invited’s network of clubs, and access to more than 700 resorts, hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues.
