Their mission: To provide wrestling and strength training to supplement community/school programs by uniting wrestlers from different schools who have the desire and capacity for more. Through focused training partners, an elite coaching system, and a positive environment, we strive to give wrestlers the necessary skills to compete at a state and national level while understanding that wrestling is a sport, and only part of the total person. Mahjong 101
Mahjong 101 Thursday, October 15 5:30 pm Mahjong is having a major moment — and we're bringing it to Rivers Club members! It's one of the fastest growing social games in the country right now, and Pittsburgh is catching on fast. If you've been curious but didn't know where to start, this is your invitation. In this 2.5 hour hands-on lesson, you'll learn American Mahjong by actually playing it. We'll cover the tiles, the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card, the Charleston, and the rules of play. Then we bring it all together at the table and guide you through your first game with an instructor by your side. By the end of the night you'll know enough to say yes to open play, game night with friends, and whatever comes next. Limited spots available.
