About Roy
Roy Jarvis has been the General Manager of Canebrake since June, 2014. He came to Hattiesburg after an extensive tenure with Sequoia Golf (which manages Canebrake) in the Atlanta area. He was the GM/Head Golf Professional at Barrington Hall Golf Club from 1996 through 1998. In 1999 he moved to Healy Point Country as the Head Golf Professional and held that position through 2008. During that time the club was purchased by Sequoia Golf which asked him to move and become the first GM/Head Golf Professional at Canongate Sun City Peachtree. In 2010 Sequoia Golf promoted Roy to a Regional Manager with direct GM responsibilities at Healy Point Country Club and River Forest Country Club. He stayed in this position until becoming the General Manger at Canebrake Country Club.Roy has been married to Karen Jarvis since May 21, 1983. They have two sons: Blake, who is married and lives in Savannah, Georgia and Zane who came to Hattiesburg and just graduated from the University Southern Mississippi.

April started out as a collegiate golfer at William Carey University, who’s home course is Canebrake Country Club. She played all four years and graduated in May 2019 with a degree in Business Administration focusing on management and marketing. April started her career at Canebrake in July 2019 with the intentions of showing people the uniqueness of Canebrake Country Club! She looks forward to creating lasting friendships with the current members that she loves being around and meeting new members to come!
Sandy Rogers

About Sandy
Sandra (Sandy) began her culinary adventure in Houston where she worked at the Clear Lake Hilton and the Sugar Creek Country Club to finish her apprenticeship. She relocated to the Gulf Coast to be closer to family and landed on a launching pad into a creative and demanding Casino career in Food & Beverage.She is the recipient of numerous culinary awards from competitions in the region motivated her to pursue bigger and more challenging positions. She has also participated in the openings of both Grand Casinos & Hotels, The Beau Rivage and The Preserve Golf Club.She has managed both FOH/BOH for the past 25years in Banquets, Restaurants & Sporting venues. Sandy’s trajectory has now placed her back in the gracious and relaxing environment of a Golf Club in the challenging position as Food & Beverage Director for Canebrake.She has a daughter Nancy who is thriving in Food & Beverage as well and lives on the Coast.

About Matt
Matt Humphrey began his culinary career over 30 years ago in Nashville, Tennessee under Chef Thomas J. Allen of Belle Meade Country Club and also under Chef Robert Siegel of Finezza Trattoria; where he received most of his culinary training, knowledge, experience and techniques. He then expanded his culinary skills as Head Chef of Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theater in Nashville, TN. In 2006, he and his family moved to Huntsville, AL (to be closer to his parents), where he worked as Sous Chef at Valley Hill Country Club.In 2014, he made his way to Mississippi, where his wife is from, to be closer to her family. He worked as Sous Chef at Hattiesburg Country Club until arriving at Canebrake.Matt is very grateful for all the opportunities he has received in the culinary industry that has led him here. Kyle Ramey

About Kyle
Kyle Ramey was born and raised in Paducah Kentucky. He made his way to Mississippi in 2004 where he played collegiately at Southern Miss, Lettering 4 times and majoring in Sports Management. Before becoming the head professional at Canebrake C.C., Kyle was the Head Professional at Windance Country Club in Gulfport MS for 5 years. Teaching and growing the game for all ages is one of his main passions. Kyle’s professional accomplishments are winning the 2017 Gulf States PGA Player of the Year, 2016 Gulf States Section Championship, and competing in two PGA tour events Though he is thankful for the path that his professional career has taken him, his greatest accomplishments is his family, wife Heather, son Gunner Wayne Ramey, and daughter Palmer Michelle Ramey.Don’t hesitate to let Kyle help you with your golfing needs, whether it be personal instruction, club fitting needs, tournament and outing inquiries.

About Russ
Russ was raised in Natchez, Mississippi. He worked at The Oaks in Pass Christian, MS while earning his degree in Turf Science at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Graduating in 2005, he took a job as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Hattiesburg Country Club until 2012. In April of 2012 he was hired at Canebrake Country Club as Golf Course Superintendent. Russ has two children, Sydney and Corban. His experience at different courses has allowed him to create a beautiful and thriving course at Canebrake Country Club.
