The Clubs of Prestonwood Unveils Multimillion-Dollar Reinvention

DALLAS - The Clubs of Prestonwood, a member of the Invited family with two locations, announces the unveiling of a multimillion-dollar renovation and reinvention project that brings stylish décor along with new dining, social and family features creating a new club experience for members. More than 400 members attended a recent grand reopening of the Creek Clubhouse on Thursday, March 26, with a ribbon-cutting, live music, cocktails and the newest menu items.

“This is an exciting time to be a part of The Clubs of Prestonwood as we look toward the future,” said Matt Beroth, general manager. “The ‘reinvented’ club has so much more to offer for members and allows us to add even more value to membership, create a more robust calendar of events and enhance the club’s long-standing traditions while creating new ones too.”

New and improved amenities at The Creek clubhouse include:

  • New “Preston’s Bar & Grille” – Modern mid-century design featuring a media area, TVs throughout, a communal table with charging stations, counter-height dining tables, booth seating and innovative new menu items
  • Walk-in wine cellar featuring a wide selection of favorites
  • Covered Patio with lounge seating, TVs and a dual-sided fireplace
  • New welcoming entranceway and lobby
  • Touchdown Rooms – private meeting spaces equipped with flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi for work and a place to make calls
  • Sophisticated meeting and event rooms with state-of-the-art AV that can accommodate from 10 to 400 for social, corporate or tournaments
  • New kids’ club playroom with activities, games and toys for children ages 3 to 12
  • Improved golf experience with new bunkers and tee boxes, new maintenance equipment, new turf conditions and upgraded irrigation

The Clubs of Prestonwood - Hills Clubhouse (slated to open April 2) will also include:

  • New 180° bar, grill and lounge where members can dine in style, the bar serves as the centerpiece of the space, which features a media area, TVs throughout, a communal table with charging stations, banquette seating, and innovative new menu items
  • New welcoming entranceway and lobby
  • Improved golf experience with new bunkers and tee boxes, new maintenance equipment, new turf conditions and upgraded irrigation

“Prestonwood has been the centerpiece of this North Dallas community for close to 50 years and these renovations – although just now complete – already have created a huge buzz among membership and signify a new beginning for the club and its members as well as for future generations of members,” said Brian Markham, chairman of the club’s board of governors.

The club also recently has launched a variety of new activities and year-round family programming such as Margarita Golf (a cocktail, group instruction and a few holes of golf), Themed Chef’s Table, Local Wines of the Month, Friday Night Out/Kids’ Night Out, and Sunday Family Fun Days.

The Clubs of Prestonwood features two 18-hole championship golf courses – The Creek in Dallas and The Hills in nearby Plano – each with its own distinct clubhouse. The dual clubhouses allow Prestonwood to offer a variety of dining opportunities both indoors and out, a first-class tennis facility, fitness facilities and swimming.
