PLANO - Gleneagles Country Club, a member of the Invited family and Plano’s premier private country club is about to get even better as the club announces that a more than $3.5 million renovation project is currently under way bringing contemporary new looks and amenities that will introduce modern tradition and enhance daily life for the private club members of today. The project is slated to be complete by mid-summer.

 Expanded dining and social features coming to the club include:

• New restaurant and grill where members can dine in style on fresh and innovative cuisine
• New outdoor terrace – the perfect al fresco setting to share stories over cocktails and appetizers while taking in the serene golf course view
• New wine cellar with rich tones, elegant seating and a wide selection of favorites
• New women’s locker room featuring a lounge, sophisticated lighting and chic décor
• New fitness club center with state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of classes to energize body and mind
• New kids’ club – a supervised playroom that allows parents to enjoy the club while their children have their own fun

“Gleneagles Country Club has been a keystone in the Plano community for more than 25 years,” said Mickey Wszolek, Gleneagles general manager. “These improvements – designed to match members’ changing lifestyles and interests – will allow Gleneagles to continue in that role, providing an even more stylish setting and more opportunities for members to connect, play, work, host and celebrate.”

“This is an exciting time for all the staff and members at Gleneagles,” said Alan Butz, chairman of the club’s Board of Governors. “We have renovations going on all over the clubhouse as well as the golf courses – making one of Dallas’ best country clubs even better.  We are all looking forward to the new Fitness Center being built on the main campus.  The new dining areas, the added terrace and especially the new and expanded wine bar are all causing a lot of buzz.” 

Amenities at Gleneagles Country Club, a private club located in the community of West Plano, include a beautifully appointed clubhouse, 36 holes of championship golf designed by the team of Von Hagge and Devlin, a driving range, a short game practice area, and three putting greens. The club also features 18 lighted outdoor hard tennis courts and four swimming pools. In addition to access to the amenities at Gleneagles, members also have the option of enjoying expanded benefits at all 14 DFW area clubs in the Invited family.
