American Junior Golf Association Names Country Club of the South’s Reggie Kratzer as 2014 General Manager of the Year
JOHNS CREEK, GA — Reggie Kratzer, general manager at The Country Club of the South, a member of the Invited family of clubs, has been named the General Manager of the Year by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). This award honors the general manager who displays unwavering support of the AJGA and junior golf by creating a memorable tournament experience for players, families, staff and volunteers. The Country Club of the South is the site of the AJGA’s Wells Fargo Junior Classic presented by Mizuno held each spring.
The AJGA presents a variety of awards annually ranging from the tournaments with the best individual hospitality, charitable giving and volunteer base to the year’s most outstanding golf professional, superintendent and general manager, as well as the most improved event, best new event and overall tournament of the year.
Kratzer has been heavily involved in Wells Fargo Junior Classic since taking over the role of general manager at Country Club of the South in 2012. While he has been in that role, the tournament has received four AJGA tournament awards, including the 2011 Hospitality Award, the 2012 Open Tournament of the Year Award and the 2013 Charitable Giving Award.
“We are so proud of Reggie and his recognition from the AJGA,” said Mark Burnett, Invited Chief Operating Officer. “His dedication and hard work surrounding the Wells Fargo Junior Classic exemplifies Invited’s commitment to growing the game of golf and the significance junior golfers play in the future of the game.”
This year’s Wells Fargo Junior Classic presented by Mizuno is April 17-19.
